    Fuji Finepix S3 pro

Hi i have just been given a S3 pro camera body

i am under the impression that this body takes Nikon Lenses can anyone confirm this

    at Present i use Olympus

I am wondering if it may be worth me buying a fast sports lens for this camera than for my Oly as Nikon have a larger range

    thanks

    Re: Fuji Finepix S3 pro

Yes, it uses Nikon lenses. I used to have an S2 and you had to have AF (autofocus) lenses for the internal metering to work, and I believe that's also the case with the S3.

If you're in the market for something like a 300 2.8, you'll really want one of the newer (maybe 4-5 years?) AF-S lenses which has the focus motor inside the lens, rather than relying on the one inside the body. My S2 was built on the same basic body and the focusing speed of my non AF-S 80-200 2.8 was noticibly slower on this camera compared to the higher-end film SLR's I had. AF-S would make that a moot point.
