D90 and External Strobes not working?

I just bought a JTL Mobilight 301 strobes . I also purchase a transmitter from AlienBee. (CyberSync and Transmitter).


The strobes will fire when used as slaves. When I connect the pc cable straight to the strobes it doesn't work. I thought the hot shoe adapter was broken but when the receiver is connected on top: I push the test button. The strobes fire.

So, I am assuming it is the setting on my camera. Please help. I tried all the modes and something isn't working or set right.

Have you tried using a normal nikon flash in your hotshoe? It could be possible the hotshoe isn't working for some reason.
