    d50 tips
    ups just dropped it off, i was wondering if anyone had some good tips, startup tips or anything in general i am about to read the manual now, but anything would be appircatited, thanks

    Hrm....read through the manual like you are while the battery charges. Look particularly hard at the sections on the menu options.
    Turn on sequential file numbering- no naming conflicts for 10,000 pictures.

    If you think you can handle it, don't use auto mode. that ruined my first D70 pic. Try P mode. shoot your first shot RAW+JPG and make it good. auto ISO off for that shot, keep track of all yoursettings. make the first shot count. Don't delete it. I did when I got my first shot with the D70. I learned from my mistake.

    My frist picture with my D50 was of a taco bell cup that was sitting right by me. It came out all blurry. :blush2:
