    Phoebe

I caught this little Eastern phoebe on my way to work Tuesday morning. This one was quite cooperative (I think he was trying to stay out of the wind which was as high as 41mph gusts).

    Thanks for looking,

    Greg

Boy, that's a nice shot. Excellent DOF as well. Hat's off!

I always find Eastern Pheobes to be somewhat coopertive if you find the right area(a favorite branch over a stream) during breeding season. But as I am sure you;re aware of, all bets are off under 20 feet away from a nest.

That second one is GREAT! You can even see the whiskers on it

Yes, I am sure they are pretty good during breeding season. Unfortunatey we don't get to see them at that time down here.

great shots, I especially like the bottom one with the bird cocking it's head just right, apart from the theme, very well executed, no suggestions to make, excellent.

Yeah, we do get some cool breeders up here , but I wouldn't mind having a few texas birds(colima, golden cheeked, olive sparrow, pygmy owls...) instead
