    You snooze you loose

    I went out shooting this week and passed by a pier where a man was cleaning fish. Every once in a while he would throw a filet in the water for a bunch of pelicans that were waiting for something to eat. Most of the time they got it but sometimes the seagulls were just a little bit faster. These are two shots of the same bird, first one getting the fish and the second one was the fly away. Jeff

    Reminds me of one I took this spring, same situation, birds looking for handouts by the cleaning station. This pelican had the fish speared on his upper beak and couldn't get it into his mouth! It was really funny, but I felt bad for laughing. A little bit.
