Your images are always very pleasing, but these are some of your best posted so far.... to me.

Next time I get to Ft Myers/ Cape Coral, we will go shooting together  It may be awhile though ?

Thanks for the compliments everyone. The Yellow Crowns are one of my favorite birds. Very interesting personality. You should see them when they hunt. They do a "hypnosis" thing with their prey where they kind of wiggle their head from side to side, and their behind as well. Very interesting to watch. Their strike is just lightning fast. I watched this guy down about 3 or 4 of those crabs. He was grabbing them out of little holes!

Paulnj - You're on! Come on down any time. I'm always shooting :D

    Let's see.......

We can hit Ding around 5:45am and walk in( How I ran into Art Wolfe), Then retrieve the ride around 8:30am.I do treework, so hiking is relaxing to me :)

Hit little estero on a good tide, Do corkscrew for passerines, woodpeckers and waders(gotta love otters too), cape coral for burrowing owls(I need flight shots)

I am sure you can get me on some good places to take images and bird my a$$ off too

I will try to make it down there next april(as neotropical migration starts), because all my $$$ is going to my gecko breeding projects this year($8k and counting). I plan to earn atleast $50k next year breeding geckos(no joke and that's quite rare indeed to earn more than break even)

Paul, you have a deal. Yes, there are several "local" spots you missed. One of which is a private rookery that will be in full swing still in eary April (I of course, have access, as I share the images with the owner). The 6 Mile Cypress Slough is another great spot during the spring migratory season. Then let's see, there's my local "Sandhill Crane" spot, with a breeding pair that should have colts up then. I'm sure I can find a way to keep you occupied :wink5:

In the meantime, here's a few more from the above series:
