    Wool Carder Bee Aggression
Not National Geographic quality in the least, but I found the behavior interesting and thought I'd share. Wool Carder males attack and drive off other pollinators that come to their nectar source to feed (that sweet stuff is for attracting his girls, not for honeybees!). They're not shy about going after bees that are much larger than they are.

Aftermath of divebombing the honeybee. I'm pretty sure the honeybee was going "WTF???"

Attacking a honeybee. They wool carder has three hornlike protrusions on his rear, which he's goring the honeybee with. I'm happy to say the honeybee survived the attack not too worse for wear and moved on to another bunch of sedum.
