Lovely compositions Ken. Interesting how the light has caught the ripples and reflected them against the bodies of the birds.
For me the doves are a little under exposed - slightly washed out appearance - almost as though you exposed for the reflection. Are the dark spots on the doves emerald green? We have the emerald spotted wood dove that is remarkably similar.

Thanks Dennis. The dove on the right is probably a tad overexposed, but this was a tough one to process. I would have focused and metered on the eye of the bird to the right, but the evening sun was really warm-colored and it reflected color onto the birds and made them darker and browner than they really are. So I adjusted the color temp and exposure a bit so that on average, the bird color is close to correct :)

The spots on the doves are black, however they tend to fade into more of an olive-brown during the summer months.
