    Whoops

    You can plan all you want, but when animals are involved it may not go accordingly.

    (these are not exactly N&W forum worthy I know - but I figured you guys may get a kick out of them - and what are you going to do, report me? )


    Anyway, I was attending a festival organized by our local wildlife rescue/sanctuary. One of the highlights was the release of a RT hawk which was being rehabilitated over the last 7 weeks.


    So, the countdown to the release...

    Then the majestic flight away from the clapping, cheering group...

    Towards a perch, on top, ... of a silo?...

    No, rather, the side of a silo


    Attention was diverted while the handlers tried to reach it. But it flew off on its own a few minutes later.
