    Red-Shouldered Hawk

I've been having a bad time lately with the weather. Being an evening shooter, I generally want the wind coming out of the west so that the birds are flying or perching into the sun. The last two weeks have been beautiful but the winds have been coming from everywhere but west.

So I have a lot of awkwardly lit subjects But I did come across this lone RSH the other evening and since the owls were a no-show again, I gave this one a chase.

All with the 500mm + 2x. The first at ISO 800, the rest at 1600
