    windy day

    Today has been a real windy day and that brings on the soaring!:thumbsup: They were just floating in the wind. Pretty cool!!

    The vulture pic was really dark(the bird not the BG) When I finished PP it came out like this. I kind of like it and kind of dont. Comments?

    Cool osprey image!!! I like the vulture image too. I've only seen them against a washed out sky which makes it very hard to see any detail... good job with your p/p!

    Great job! I'm still having a hard time getting a decent vulture shot myself - easier to get hawks/kestrels - go figure

    Your shot shows the characteristic fringing/haloing when one pushes the processing too far. When coaxing out detail from the shadows, its real easy to get this effect. I would have left the black feathers stay mostly black and bring back just enough detail in the white underside wing feathers.

    I have such a hard time with these vultures:mad2: I find it hard not to underexpose them!

    My PP skills need much work.Slowly feeling my way around Elements.I just started working with RAW files.
