    Wasp
Was a little bored the other day and grabbed the Canon SD400 when I saw a wasp hanging out on the peonies. The wasp seemed not to mind having it's photo taken. Here are a couple. I set the camera on it's digital macro setting and moved in as close as I thought I could without disturbing the wasp. Cropped slightly in photoshop and sharped. Minor adjustment of levels.

Love the first one Brian. Some of todays P&S cameras just amaze me with what they can do.

Thanks Larry. That is probably my favorite of the two. I really like my little Canon p&s. It does a really nice job.

    Nice demonstration!

I must admit that I've never used a P&S for any N&W shooting. Would be a nice, light alternative.

How close was the camera for these shots?

Loupey, I'm guessing I had the camera about 2 or 3 inches away. Really surprised I didn't get attacked by the wasp.

I've done that with my sony dsc-h1 lol. I found a nest on my hose. Yours look better tho ;) I love that first one too. Such evil looking little creatures aren't they!
