I just sorted through the 100's of pictures from my recent visits to a nearby attraction. They're from the Wakodahatchee Wetlands located in west Delray Beach Florida.
In this 50 acre man made ecosystem there are over 140+ bird species, alligators, raccoons, marsh rabbits, and iguanas.
The 3/4 mile boardwalk is open to the public for free from sunrise to sunset. I highly recommend a visit if you're going to be in the area.
I'm using a Canon S5 IS, which doesn't have the best image quality but I'm addicted to the video capture feature with stereo sound.![]()

The last picture is of three of the four young raccoons we spotted out digging for food with their mother. Later in the visit there was a tense few moments when the whole family got very close to an alligator quietly waiting in a canal. But don't worry, they all got by safely.![]()
