    Shooting a pit-viper

A wide-macro pic of my wife Antonella shooting a six-foot long lancehead pit-viper Bothrops atrox in Yasunė National Park, Ecuador...one of the world's most dangerous (and beautiful!) venomous snakes. Nikon D300, 10.5mm + 1.5 Kenko TC.

Glad you like it Shyanni - it's dangerous indeed, as this very fast and aggressive species is responsible for most deadly bites in Central and Southern America, and shots like this require being inches away from the subject...tricky!

Sorry for the low quality of the image - you can see in all its high-res glory on our free quarterly online magazine ANIMA MUNDI - Adventures in Wildlife Photography - each issue a 140-page pdf available for free downloading at www.animamundimag.com...check it out, it's free
