awwww.... how cute! Is that at a graveyard? Looks like a headstone in the last pic. If so, it prooves that foxes are smart! Won't be bothered there very much at all.
Walk softly and carry a big lens.

    Re: Red Fox....

I was shooting some star trail shots one night, and caught a fox in the light of my flashlight. I never saw one before, but with the camera on the tripod all set for a 30min exposure, I wasn't able to catch a shot.

I wouldn't even know how or where to look if I went out looking to get any pics of one.

Nice series! I have found active dens the last two years. I'm hoping for another one this year.

Mike, if you find one, let me know. I may be tempted to drive almost 400 miles for some shots.

Will do Mike. I was out photographing bluebirds this morning and saw a nice looking fox walking through the field. No photos, and I wasn't able to keep an eye on it to see where it went. I plan on going back and scouting the area this afternoon to see if I can find a den. If I can, I will be in heaven! This spot is within walking distance of my house!

Eric, we'll be in Miami for the last race of the Indy season.
If I can wangle an extension to the trip to shoot some nature, I'd like to drop you a PM for guidance, if I may?

Excellent find! Love the second one - mom is quite the hit for hungry kits!

Never had the opportunity to photograph one. Only a few glimpses in the night and the occasional sad road kill.
