    Unfurled

    Practicing using the focus-stacking technique.

This image is merged from 9 images. A slight wind and my inexperience with the techique is causing ghosting that I'm not happy with. Perhaps I'll come back to work on this image later after getting some more practice.

Very cool Loupey. What program are you using to stack your images? I have used the trial version of Helicon Focus in the past with very good results. I have tried using it in CS4 but it keeps telling me I don't have enough RAM...

    Re: Unfurled

I've been using CombineZM (free) and Zerene Stacker (30 days free).

CombineZM works great (sharper and more automated) if the alignment of the shots are perfect (i.e. no wind, sturdy tripod).

Zerene is more powerful but I can't nail the manual alignment process so I've been using the automatic alignment which is hit or miss.

This particular image is by Zerene. CombineZM was horrible.
