Man these things are fun!!!:D This is the only one that turned out that was a nature shot. You can call me the "lizard whisperer" I had this lense pushed right up in his face and he stood fairly still.
Im having a little trouble with the DOF while using the tubes. Its soooo picky. Practice, practice practice.

That's pretty good B/B! You got the important part which is the head. I think when you get that close with any lens (or a combination of a lens and tube) you will have a little trouble getting enough DOF to get most of your subject in focus.

Yes, unless you use off camera flash and a small aperture the DOF will always be very shallow.

It IS a very nice Lizard macro though.

Thanks all!! So far I've shot everything small I can get my hands on. Old class ring, circuit board, kokeshi doll, lures, everything!!! This is going to be and obsession I can tell already.:D
I'll post some more nature ones as they come. I've been eyeballing a flower on my ponds lily pads..................BB:D :D

Obsession isn't the word, in a few years we'll all be in straight jackets mumbling about DOF, macros, etc :p. It is a blast, and you see things in a new way. You did a good job here.

A few years!!! Im doin that now!!! I've blurted out in the middle of a conversation, "WOW look at the light!!....sorry to interrupt". Stopping my truck on the shoulder of a highway because I see something that might be a good pic. Is this normal behavior?!!
Its too bad that they dont send out a camera catalog like the Bass Pro catalog!! Id be broke but content.

I just got one from B&H Photo :D Not nearly as thick as a BPS catalog, but it's still fun to drool over what I'll buy next.

You've seen those bumper stickers that say "student driver" right? We need ones that simply says "photographer". I think everyone else would know what that causes us to do.

How many of you see the world in 2:3 aspect ratio? I do - all the time in fact :p That and lighting (as BB stated). If I see anything anytime where the crucial elements would fit nicely in a 2:3 ratio rectangle, I'm saying to myself - where's my camera!!!

I get a catalogue every month in the UK which I can drool over.

And as for behaviour, You should have seen the face of my future Father in Law :out:
when I pulled the car over to take a picture because of the light and the 35mm view I was seeing in my mind, foreground, middle ground, and background. (it was a landscape)

He agreed it was a lovely photo when I got the print back, but the behaviour he wasn't so sure about. This was pre 1981 which is when I got married, he's got used to the behaviour, stright jacket, and the drooling since then. (only just)

Great job Big Baldo, Loupey got me on to these little tubes and it opened a whole new world to me as, generally a bird photographer, they are always in my kit bag, and although they take quite some getting used to it was money very well worth spent.
