    The Fall Visitor in B/W

I have not posted in the Nature Forum for a while so thought I would share a shot I have reworked as a b/w. What do you think?

Im not a great fan of B/W images, although some do it justice, i think you have done a great job with this.

CF, good attempt. But I like your color version better because the hot spot on this image in the upper left corner is too distracting.

Generally with B&Ws, one tries to expand the tonal range to get some true whites and true blacks at least in some parts of the image. Though the softer look on this image seems suitable for the subject matter and mood.

    Keep experimenting

    Loupey/bevb:

Thanks very much for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it very much. Loupey, this was just that, an experiment; just looking to see how a color image changes when presented in b/w.

    Thanks again.
