So it being the ugly side of winter here, brown, muddy and generally ick, I decided to head to the coast to one of my favorite state parks. It used to be a military fort, but sometime during the Cold War was decommissioned and turned into a park. Just as I got there some clouds came in from the west and I spotted a really wonderful tide pool that just begged to be photographed.

I walked around and around finding new and interesting perspectives. Used both a polarizer and a 4-stop graduated neutral density filter, without which these photos wouldn't have been possible.

A little tweaking in Lightroom to bring up contrast and clarity and that's about it aside from a little cropping. The light and clouds changed, but the sun never came out so it was pretty great.
