That's a good macro lens, Alex. Produces images like a bellows.

    Thanks for the reply, Ron.

Of the three lenses I currently own, I have to say that the 100mm macro is my favourite. :) In the gallery I have more shots that were taken with it...

Those are very good and show how a prime macro can really deliver the shots. My zoom macro won't come close to that sort of quality.

    Thanks, scott-devon.

Yes, primes are always better than zooms, at least in the image quality department. :)

Very nice - again. I really like the first one with the radial pattern of the needles. The water (glycerin?) drop actually detracts for me. – TF

Thanks for commenting, OldClicker ! :)

Nope, no glycerin (unlike the apple & pepper :D). I actually didn't notice the water droplet until afterward while the photo was on my computer.

Alex, great so see that you are out there having fun with your new toys :)

I especially like the first one, great use of DOF! Not sure if I like droplet or not, I keep changing my mind on that one...

The branch with the bud is way too straight for me :D - might be better at angle? But nice to see signs of spring! :)

The first two in the first series, the first and the last one of the second series are my favorite.

    Thanks, Mette. :)

Well, I don't think my "toys" are so "new" anymore... :D ... I've had them for about 1 1/2 months now.

Thanks for the comment, AE. :-)

    Thanks for replying, Knight. :)

I might try to give it a shot with water droplet reflections, but I don't think I'll even come close to what Mike gets... very nice work !
