    Thanks for the comments. Just the very end of the capture and certainly the kill. Try as the bee may, the spider had a grip that precluded any real defense. The pictures are backwards in that the spider had the bee on its back for the kill, then dragged it up along a branch of the bush.

    Isn't it amazing when you "bring yourself down" to their level? A life-and-death drama played out on a miniature stage every minute of the day.

    I had other angles but for one reason or another we not "postable", i.e., focus, DOF, exposier, etc. These two were the best of the lot. And you are correct, this was really dramatic. I saw the last moment of the capture; the bee hardly had a chance to put up a decent fight. On a similar but much sadder note, a neighborhood cat discovered my bird feeders a few days ago. I'd like to ring that cats neck.
