Starscapes over Yellowstone NP
So I haven't been around in a while but I have started experimenting with night shots. I took a new lens (specifically bought for it) out last night to test it out. The Sunset and Moon rise are just starting to be timed correct, so the milky way is still slightly lighter than I would like.
I attempted a few shots (with my old lens) 2-3 weeks ago and came up with these 2.

and then here's the shots from last night.

and my favorite of the night is of orange mound spring

what do you think? what can i improve? I'm still working on light painting (these are just off camera flash popped once) so any tips would be good.
Re: Starscapes over Yellowstone NP
Great series, Dylan. The picture shown as the feature is really nice, but I'm also like the Mammoth scene. I'm unable to offer any suggestions for improvement, as I haven't tried star shooting yet.
