    Spring is almost here...

I moved last weekend, and now I finally have interweb again. Amazing how much of an information junkie I have become, I was more than mildly annoyed that I did not have constant access to information at my fingertips. In any case, I don't have a whole lot of time for shooting but I did see this on one of my trees today...it's finally starting to move some sap and should leaf out in the next month, which is still a few weeks earlier than the trees outside. I think Paul said he is an arborist, he should be able to ID it with his eyes closed

What a super sight, it really does show springs on its way, i noticed today here that the buds on the ornamental cherry tree's were showing, and i have a plum tree at the end of the garden and yesterday i didnt notice anything, but today! little buds. Its a great feeling.

Glad to hear your back on the worldly grapevine.

Hey Bev, trees of the Prunus genus, like your cherry and plum trees, bud early...so do ulmus...This time of year it's great to see them getting started, although this tree usually leaves out a bit later. The early start is because it is in my warm house...I'm still waiting on the ID, a hint: It's origin is just outside of ladysmith, WI.

Looks like the blackthorn has been fooled into flowering early here.
Normally doesn't flower until the anniversary of my Mother's death.

I know what you mean, Copy_Kot. It felt like Spring was here a few days ago and now SO MUCH SNOW!!
