Shot this little fellow this weekend while working on the shore birds some more. I was in a pretty lazy mood Saturday morning, so I slept in (that means, the sun was actually up before I got up - LOL), and then just dcided to go find myself a nice comfortable spot uplight on the beach, plop down with a beanbag and the 600mm f/4, and lazily shoot whatever shorebirds happen along. Well, I got plenty of shorbirds, but was I ever kicking myself for not bringing the 40D with the 300mm and an extension tube on it! These Ghost Crabs were coming within 3-4 feet of me, and all I could do is mumble to myself about it. I had to wait until they got out 16 feet so I could shoot them with the 600! Anyway, got some nice images, but I would've done a LOT better with a macro setup!
