    Nice shots.

I like #2 and #3 most due to the more pleasing sky.

Also, it sure would have helped if the wingtips in #2 weren't chopped off - but I know it is hard to get an absolutely perfect shot of a bird in midair.

I was wanting to see the Crested Caracara, but never actually did.

Very nice shots, catching them in flight like that is tough. Great job!

Beautiful shots Eric, really beautiful !
What were your settings for these shots and what kit were you using ?
Sorry if this info is already there but I only discovered the forum yesterday and have spent the last 24 hours sifting through the boards.
I have some shots of a Southern Caracara in flight with a stick in its mouth which I was rather proud of but your shots have shown me I have a long way to go before I have anything near good enough to post up.
    Thanks for the inspiration Eric.

crested caracara are ambiguous and the male builds the nest usually in the bird world. I am not saying you are wrong on the sex though.

    Great images Eric!

I spent some time Saturday watching the Crested Caracara in the Viera Wetlands building a nest. Both the male and female were grathering materials for the nest.

Eric's bird shown here is indeed the female. The male is banded and carries a radio transmitter, making it easy to tell the sexes apart.

    Great shots, Eric!!
