    Some more of my red tail friend part 2
    After he gave up on the knot hole squirrel, he went looking around for other prey. Went after several squirrels but missed. Still didn't have a meal when I left.

    Hope you guys aren't sick of shots of him yet!

    10 I lost him shortly after this, but then as I was leaving about a half hour later, I spotted him up in one of trees by the entrance to the nature center

    I'm pretty sure this guy is the same red tail I've seen at the nature center before. You might remember last year I posted shots of him trying to get a squirrel out of a knot hole in a tree. Apparently he has some bad luck with them getting out of his reach :p

    Interestingly, I pretty much only see him in fall and winter, and early spring. When the Cooper's Hawk pair return to their nest in this area, he gets really scarce and must move off to a different territory.
