    Some more bald eagle shots

Hey, it's that time of the year again so...

Drove for about two hours to get to Brackendale, BC, where it had a record count of nearly 4000 bald eagles in 1994. Unfortunately, the eagles are simply too far away for any DSLR shooters (discoping should work well there except for flight shots).

Shot with 200-400 plus 1.7xTC. Highly cropped shots here because I was shooting across a river, a fast flowing one, too. The first two are in sequence. The eagles did a little hop to move to a spot a few feet away to its right.

Re: Some more bald eagle shots

I am waiting for a call from a buddy who fishes on the Skagit river here in Wa.to go out and get some eagle shots. He has a drift boat and is very accommodating to stop and let me get out and shoot birds when we see them.
Nice shots, i hope to get some as good as yours, Jimmy B

    Thanks guys !

I plan to go back if the weather condition and the road condition allow. There're not that many eagles there right now but in a couple of weeks, it should change.
