Some form of a leaf bug (Macro)

it was in my room, at night, and was with pooooor lighting @ ISO100, i used my dads old nikon flash with no TTL.

giving the tubes a run, all 3 again. very sharp detail, full size is a great looking photo.

That may be a locust, because I have never seen a grasshopper that ugly.

my wild guess would be a katydid, something tells me i better cross-reference against google before i hit "submit reply." Great picture though, nice job with the lighting choices available.

yep yep, its a katydid. googled it, and it looks identical. it was a male.

yea i was suprised at the grain from ISO 100, it was very dark in my room.

You used a NIKON flash on a Canon thingy????

Sure he did.... all my flashes work in manual mode on any of my cameras. The reason it was grainy was from the nikon flash :wink:

no really, the grain was from under exposure.
