Male Wood Duck floating in Pea Soup! There is a small creek down by the Eagles nest that flows into a small pond. Waited down behind some huge Cypress Knees to get these shots.

Eric, nice images, thanks for sharing. I was going to say that this looked like the "soup" at Titusville when I was there, but as you noted - a different location. I don't quite know how they would see anything to eat throught the "soup", unless they eat the "soup" itself. My understandig though is that they eat things like berries, seeds and acorns and even small insects if they can catch them, so they must come ashore for their lunch.

That is a great contrast of colors. The amazing thing is that he does not have the "stuff" all over him. Everytime I try to take pictures of a duck in the soup, he has it all over him. Good job.
