Show Me Your Butterflies...
We've had great participation and oustanding images in the last three "show me" threads. Let's have another photographic "conversation" on butterflies. Remember, it doesn't have ot be your best-ever photo to participate. We're just sharing different viewpoints.
Here's one of mine. I shot this in a butterfly garden and don't know what it is. I don't think it is a US species.

I'm pretty sure I've posted these before on viewfinder, but here they are again. One is a Lorquin's Admiral and the other an Edith's Checkersport, both native to So. Cal.The last one is a Swallowtail shot in Nor. Cal, Sierra Mountains.
Lava Lamp, that is a beautiful Butterfly. Sure wish you could tell us the species. And it looks as if it has had a few close run-ins with birds.

Re: Show Me Your Butterflies...
This is an old scan from Kodachrome. I took it in the late 80s. It was mid-autumn and I doubt this straggler lasted much longer.
