    My new favorite subject

Yup, the fox kit's again. They are exploring the hillside more and more everyday. To give you an idea of how close they are, these are both full frame, shot at 286mm. Both images were taken from inside my truck, parked across the road from their den. Notice the gravel on the bottom of the first photo. That is the shoulder of the road. This one was making me nervous as he started coming onto the road. I was tempted to open the truck door to scare him back into the ditch. Luckily he went on his own. Hope you enjoy.

I can see why they're your favorite. Cute little guys. Great shots

Very nice, I don't blame you for returning often. An opportunity like that won't last forever. Keep them coming.

I agree - an opportunity like this deserves time off work to shoot - milk it while you've got the chance.

The first one here is great!

    Re: My new favorite subject

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I plan on spending a lot of time with these guys Saturday afternoon. As long as the wife doesn't make other plans for me that is. Saturday morning I will be hanging out at the badger hole. The light is better there in the mornings, and at the fox den in the afternoon. It's kind of frustrating only having one good spot to sit for these guys. Their location doesn't really give me any other options, so if all the photos start looking the same, that's why.

They just mowed the ditch by the badger den this week, so I should have a clear shot at them, if they show! Wish me luck.
