High Key Ducks - Aging Eyes inspired me

So I went back through some shots from the end of last year and found a few that I liked that were edits inspired by AgingEyes "High Key ducks" shot.

This one was my favourite. Unfortunately for me there were no in flight shots.

I like it Jaedon, they certainly stand out against the white background.

Very nice, what is the background, snow? I haven't been in snow since, well lets say a very long time, my goal in 08 is to go take pictures in the snow.

Yup that's snow lol. 32 inches of it fell a week before I took that shot. There is now NO snow to be found anywhere in the area....until tomorrow that is with 7 inches predicted to fall tonight.

Thanks for the comments folks. And thanks again AgingEyes for the inspiration.

Clapping, that shot rocks. Really looks like you put up a white background. I think this shot really stands out.

Good Capture , like what you did here i see that you have a Better Beamer , do you use it often and what kind of range do you get with it ? I am thinking of getting one

Re: High Key Ducks - Aging Eyes inspired me

retroactiv - thanks... the snow definitely did it's job. Funny thing was I wanted teh footprints from the ducks that were there in the snow but I only managed to get one set to show because of the snows reflective qualities.

    Knight- Thanks bud

I am still experimenting with the better beamer and have yet to actually post a shot where I have used it. It definitely does increase the range of the flash I would say by almost triple what I was getting as effective light before. I can get a decent amount of light form it at a range of 50 - 75 feet with the fall off just after the 75 foot mark being very drastic.

I liked the first image, I really like the 2nd one.

It looks like a photo collage of various shots of the same ducks. Love how they are all doing their own thing. I'm thinking if you can do the same thing with a wider field of more ducks - it would look very nice printed very large.
