    The Ripening
The muhlberry tree is chock full of berries right now. It literally rains berries whenever birds or squirrels are making a meal of them.

The cedar waxwings decend in flocks 20~30 strong and it is fun watching them pick just the right berries, toss them up in the air, and gulp them down whole. They also do the "pass the berry game" when a pair of waxwings will transfer a berry back and forth as if they each don't want to be caught with it. More difficult to capture that with a still image.

This shot is when it tosses it up in the air. I wish the berry had more "air" but the waxwings are very shy and don't stay out in the open very often nor very long. With a single high pitch squeek, the entire flock disappears as abruptly as they appeared.

Thanks for looking and the comments. I suppose "mulberry" does not have an "h" in it - I'll blame it on the late hour :p

Another shot for that same day. Lower branch, different bird I imagine.
