Red Shouldered Hawk in the backyard
This young Red Shouldered Hawk visited my backyard several times today. Apparently, it has no fear of man for it let me get as close as 6' from it.

How lucky for you Ira! Do you think it might be a pet or something? I can't imagine any raptor letting anyone get that close. How cool!
And I thought I was lucky this Sunday to get within like 50' (ok... I have no clue, but it was close) of a juvi eagle in a tree. I'll post that in a bit.

What a model. I'm jealous. I definitely prefer the 4th photo as it shows the bird in it's natural environment.
