Rain Drops
I have wanted to take a shot like this for years, and finally spent some time with it tonight.
Shot at f/16 for 6 seconds and ISO 100. This was taken with 100mm f/2.8 macro lens and 68mm's of extension tubes.

Re: Rain Drops
Very cool! I like where you're going with this technique! The focused flowers inside the droplets is a great touch.

Re: Rain Drops
Excellent shots! I really like the first one and the first one in the group of three. The focused flowers in the drops make it.

Re: Rain Drops
Thanks Knight. I wish I would have taken a series of photos to run through the Helicon Focus program to try to get reflections in the drops even sharper. Oh well, I'm still very happy with the way these came out.
My next goal is to actually take some shots like this in nature.

Re: Rain Drops
Thanks Serenity, Ben, Mike and Beccyboo.
This did take a bit of patience to set up and get to work the way I wanted it to. Here is an image of how I had this set up. The hardest part was getting the drops to form at a decent size. The whole setup was very shaky. The table shakes if you move and the leaf would shake even more. Just spraying the mist onto the leaf would make it move all over the place. I had to try to hold is steady while I sprayed it, and then hope that it wouldn't move to much when I let it go. Any little bump to the table would cause the drops to fall off, and I would have to start all over again. Next time I may try to find a more sturdy place to set this up. :)
