Bad light, bad weather, oh well!

Lately, I've shot so few images that when I had the chance recently, despite it being late, misting, and heavily overcast, I took the opportunity.

Nice just getting out. All 5 with the 300mm + 2x pegged at 1/500s at f/11. The first two at ISO 1250, the last three at ISO 1600. All at moderate to substantial crops - can't get that close to these girls.

Those last two are real nice shots Loupey. Getting out after a long period sure feels good alright.

Very nice images. I love grey days for wilflife images of earth tone subjects.

Thanks for stopping by, scott-devon and paulnj

I tell ya, I like when the snow is fresh or when it is all gone - don't care for too much in between I'll be much happier when the little 6 and 8 legged creatures emerge/return to the fields.

Although I finally saw a male harrier the other day. Despite it being at about 400 yards, what a gorgeous looking raptor he was - whitish/grayish with black wing tips/edges. Hopefully I'll get another chance if he sticks around here.

"grey ghost" is the nickname of the male harrier .
