    flys.

    no birds today, I was distracted by some signs of things to come. Couldn't get them out of the direct sunlight though, and I didn't have my flash diffuser with me so I couldn't use fill flash - without the diffuser, the flash is very strong at this working distance!

    one more that was pretty good.

    This is as close as I can get right now, and I think I am limited now by DoF rather than closeness. The hoverfly at the bottom of the first post is as much DoF as I can get at this magnification, the only other way is to back off on the zoom and lose some closeness. These are all almost full frame shots, I just cropped to aspect ratio because I'd rather do the crop then let the camera decide where to put it.

    Great macro's Erik! Whenever someone asks me about what p&s to buy, I always tell them the H5 and it's because of your images.
