They put out a photocall for North American Birds.
So I thought of you all here.

You have to join PhotoLibra to get your photos considered, but you may want to give it a try.

The point of a photocall is that a client wants images and there are none in the library which dramatically increases your chances of selling an image.
Also you upload with an additional keyword for the photocall so that the images can easily be found among the hundreds of thousands online.

No, for the curious, I haven't sold any yet because I haven't stopped paying for photobox (0 sales in 12 months) and bought an unlimited account at PhotoLibra. The free account allows only 5 photos of limited size, and I was waiting to use those for a photocall that I can actually satisfy !

I'll let you all know how it goes when I start uploading just on the off chance, rather than for a photocall.
The most important thing to selling photos this way is accurate keywording if you are uploading stock images..
So include the linnaean name of your subjects as well as the common name, double-check for typign errors, and include as much information as possible that you think someone might search for ... like don't forget "bird"

I have been a member of fotolibra and i have managed to sell 3 pictures so far and had quite a few used on other peoples websites, so it has helped me quite a lot, but you are quite right in stating to get Key words right, wrong words could mean a miss in a sale.
