Nice shots Emily. I really like the detail in the faces.

I also think you should submit that last shot to Almo's silhouette photo challenge for February. I'd back off on the sharpening just a tad to keep the halo from forming around the wings. Reduce the jpeg compression too while you are at it such that the transition is less pixelated.
