    Photogathering - Any Interest?

I'll be stopping by Chicago sometime between Christmas and New Years. I was curious if there is any interest by any of you fellow nature-lovers to do a mini-gathering. I'm thinking any of the zoos, the Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium - just one of these.

I know that time is hectic so I don't expect a firm confirmation at this time. Just a show of hands if you're even interested and would consider it.

    Thanks.

In my case, it's not the time that's the problem, it's the cash. Especially, right after Christmas. Otherwise, it sounds like a fun time. I took the family to Chicago several years ago, and other than the 100 degree heat, it was a good time. The zoos were the main attraction.

I was hoping you were going to say Columbus. Chicago is probably out that time of year for me.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

I could probably get some time off around then. I would have to think about where the best places to shoot are.

I'm interested in learning more about a Chicago gathering. It is too early to declare where I will be then but might make a trip out of it. Keep us posted.

    Re: Photogathering - Any Interest?

Sounds like a great idea, but I don't think the timing is going to work for me. The Shed Aquarium has been on my "must see" list for a while now, along with some of the other great places in Chicago.

There is already a Chicago get together planned for sometime in November. Not sure if a date has been set for that one yet tho.

    Re: Photogathering - Any Interest?

I'm reasonably sure that I can get a handful of us N&W people a behind the scenes tour at the shedd. No promises, but i do have some connections at the zoos, the aquarium, and the field museum. The question would be whether or not they would have time. If we can get together a head count, I can ask around.

    Re: Photogathering - Any Interest?

Erik - what a gracious offer. A behind-the-scenes at any would be terrific. Count me in as a "definite". If we can't get enough members and you need a specific minimum, keep in mind that I could bring, at a minimum, 4 other people.

Thanks again for your assistance. Keep us posted
