    The other side of the river...

    I went back to the river yesterday to see if the pelicans from Sunday were still there. This time, I was on the other shore across from where I work. As I pulled my car off to the side of the road, my first surprise was to see George the eagle flying by! I thought he had left and gone back up north like 3 weeks ago! He would not come close this time for a good shot, so this poor shot is just for yuks.

    The 1,000+ pelicans had left except for a few laying out on a little island. This is one crowded little piece of land as you can see! Really cool to finally see some heron nests.
    Wishing I had a 500mm lens, I took some closer shots of fowl.
