Ospreys in the digital age (cell tower nest)
A pair of ospreys has built a nest in a cell tower across the street from where I work. I hope to keep tabs on them for a while.
The first shot is the full frame, as best I can do with my 70-300, and the rest are crops, mostly 1-to-1 except for the shot of the bird on final approach, it's a little looser. Also, the sky is not wrong in that one, it was cloudy at the time.
I just missed a shot of one of the birds bringing in a squirrel. I watched it approach as I was digging out the camera, but he got there before the camera was ready.
Nikon D7000, 70-300 ED VR, ISO 200, speeds from 1/250 to 1/1000.

Re: Ospreys in the digital age (cell tower nest)
I think Ospreys are one of the more fun birds to watch during nesting and raising young'ns. For some reason, they seem to have a little more character than most other birds.
