    Another View, Hummer

    Heres another view of a Hummer i posted in Spring Bird ID This is Handheld from a D50 at 300mm . Was edited in NikonCapture shot in .NEF then converted to jpg .

    Better than just good for handheld with that length of lens. Would like to see a little more detail in the throat area. Are the throats orangier than in the Central US or is it me?

    We had several of these around two years ago, none since. Same feeders etc.

    The color in the gorget(throat) of the males all depents on lighting angle ;) Nice image indeed.

    Great shot, Knight!

    Love the background and sharpness in the beak, eyes, and breastfeathers!

    What's it sitting on? Clothesline? Did you shoot this out a window? I don't think I have ever seen any of these in my parts.

    Loupey , yes hes on a Clothesline , and beleive it or not im standing in the bathtub to take this one . I opened the Bathroom window and he just moved 10 feet away and sat there. It was windy so i took about 100 photos to get this one hehe! Now the challenge is to try and capture this guys inflight and im hoping 2 by the end of this summer

    cool! when you get that inflight stuff it will drive you nuts and you'll shoot 2000 to get 3 good though not great ones.:mad2:

    but when you get that one it makes it all worth while. :thumbsup:
