Re: Now For My First Post
Nice one John, welcome to the forum. I have been out looking for wolves myself a few times, we have a small, long legged variety here in Brazil, but so far have not had the privilege of an encounter. Good to hear you are doing your bit for this species.
Look forward to see more of them.

NIce.
I think the howl pose in the last one says "wolf" to me most of all.
Re: Now For My First Post
Thanks all.
I'll post a bunch more of the wolves over time including our Ambassador pack which are the ones the public gets to see all the time.
We don't usually get to see these Mexican Grays since the idea is to keep them afraid of people and just maybe release them or their pups to the wild at some point. If they lose their fear of people, they are dead. End of story.
Thanks again for the welcome. I think I'll like it here.

Welcome to our forum!
I too like the howling shot and the fact that you captured both wolves doing it makes it for me.
Thanks for sharing these.
Looking forward to seeing more from you!
Re: Now For My First Post
Beautiful shots John, thanks for posting them and welcome to the forum.
Re: Now For My First Post
Are those from Lakota? If so, I had no clue they had mexican wolves.
Re: Now For My First Post
Paul,
I'm sorry it took a week to reply. Holidays and all.:blush2:
Anyway, these guys are from the Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem, NY (www.nywolf.org ). They are part of the federal Species Survival Program which is why we don't see them very much.
You can see the my entire wolf gallery at my pbase site.
Have a good New Year all.
