    Greg:

Tell me a bit about this shot, is it with the ex25 and 40-150?

As far as the shot itself, the composition is nice but it is underexposed, and doesn't have as much contrast as I usually like. The histogram is bunched right in the middle - ample information to spread out in raw. Personally I think that shots like this especially benefit from a full range of tones.

Erik I may have posted the wrong edit, but never the less here is one with a levels adjustment. Sometimes when I border a shot it losses the layers if you forget to save as a jpeg first. Is this better? 14-54mm @ f/22

Re: Yellow Flower, another tube shot

When I saw the first image, I assumed it was shot at f/22 or smaller as it has that classic "grainy" or gritty texture from the diffraction effect of such a small aperture. Not really sure that you needed the extra DOF for this shot.

I'm not a big fan of the white background on the right side. I agree that the breakup between the yellow and white is a nice contrast - I just don't like how vertical the white portion is. Perhaps if it was a bit wider so that white part curved over the top right corner.

Overall, I think it lacks some color/focus "pop".

Thanks Loupey. The white background is the outter part of the flower. I will keep at it and play around with different F/stops. I did process this one more than normal.

Personally, I just think it's not that pretty a flower. Maybe it needs more saturation. Otherwise, I like the comp.
