    Rivers collide at dawn

Last month a group of local photography nuts met predawn to catch the sunrise over the confluence of two rivers - the Exeter and the Squamscott, our location wasn't ideal, but the colors were intense.

The buildings are the remnants of mills (now turned to other uses including some swanky apartments), I believe as the river runs fast and swift here in summer. In winter it's nearly frozen solid. Underneath it still moves and the banks are always shifting and choked with broken ice.

As the sun crested, the color bled out of the sky, but the light was interesting enough to warrant some Lightroom fun -

    Thanks for looking. Comments welcome.

Thanks...I worked fairly diligently on that one. It cried out for an antiquing effect and I like the way it turned out in my inexperienced hands.
