    Messing around on the river

These are shots of the birds that used the river daily, either bathing like the piedwagtail and siskin, and the geese, ducks and swans that fought over their territory.

That canada goose(or close relative of one like the cackling goose) with the extra white on it's head is intriguing! Do you have more images of it?

That is very strange, we will just call it an abberant goose ;) The white in the face is the only odd markings I see, so I doubt it is a hybrid(though it may be).

Maybe a "twitcher" could tell you, they are numorous in your area ;)

Re: Messing around on the river

Thanks for infor Paulnj youve got me on a wild goose chase now! excuse the pun. Im going back where i photograhed this goose in a couple of weeks and hopefully it might still be there, i will try and fiind out a little more about it, although believe it or not i never see any twitchers in my area, they are there no doubt, but have their own clubs and meetings at certain locations and i work alone, but if i get any feedback on the goose il let you know.
