Re: Little fledgling
Cute birdie - glad it was OK.
We have several "encounters" every day. We wake up to some clunks on our bedroom window in the mornings. We have several smears on our family room and kitchen windows. My daughter has tried putting decals on the windows so that they can see there is something there.
We had our most recent fatality just this past weekend. A woodpecker DOA on our back deck.

Re: Little fledgling
aww, thats a shame, we have had it happen a couple of times but not very often as we live in a very built up area but have a small wooded area behind our house so we get a bit of wildlife, and the birds do tend to nest in the tree just by our window!

Re: Little fledgling
Have you tried raptor silhouettes, Loupey?
We had them on a huge two-storey glass walkway and didn't have bird strike problems after they were fitted.
Looked like a hovering kestrel - which seemed to keep smaller birds away.

LOL - I think my wife would kill me if I did that! She and the kids have spent too much time and effort to attract them (two hummingbird feeders, two seed feeders, a hanging suet feeder, a hanging "corn feeder" (like squirrels need to be fed any more  ), a couple butterfly bushes, and a fruiting tree.
A fine line between attracting them and having them knocking themselves out on an invisible house :p
