    Little duck with no name.

This little duck was on my local little lake that i visit most days, and i have'nt seen him there before, he was diving and staying under quite a time feeding, and one time reappeared with this acorn!

I have no idea what it is, in my book (me and my book!) the closest it resembles is the tufted duck, but i didnt see any tuft on this little one.

Paulnj you might be able to help me here?

Wow I've never seen a duck eat an acorn before! Beautiful pictures Bev!

It looks a lot like our ringneck ducks.

That 3rd one is gorgeous. The lighting makes it look more like a painting. And that reflection is just as sharp I wish the wake had more of a role here (pushing the duck further to the left).

    Great as usual.

    AHHHHH CLOSE EVERYONE.......

RN ducks are grey on the sides, not a true white and the bill has white bands (at the base and near the tip). This is a young male tufted duck, which is very closely related.
