    Life in the Fast Lane
    Literally! :p

These guys (chimney swifts?) and the barn swallows are the hardest things I've ever tried to shoot on-the-wing. Makes the tree swallows that I shot earlier look like dunks staggering down the alley.

Haven't yet got a good shot of a barn swallow feeding. But I managed these two of the (chimney swifts?).

Oh, very occasionally, one does stop to take a break :p

Thanks for the ID guys! Nice to put the name to the face. Either way, fast little suckers. I can't understand how anything can have such fast reaction times. Their wing and tail feathers must be hard-wired directly to their eyes.

Copy, thanks for the compliment. I couldn't track them using the 2x so these two in-flights are straight 300mm. Still MF though.

I gotta get some good barn swallow shots - they are so much more colorful/shapely. Just not as plentiful here. We'll see :)
